Sharing is caring!

Recently, I celebrated my 8th anniversary as a demonstrator. I joined during the Sale-a-Bration period in 2016, and here are some of the catalogues I used in my very early days as a demonstrator:

(Were you stamping back in those days, too? If so, these products might look familiar to you! In case you’re curious, the 2016 In Colors were Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum!)

Eight years later, it is still really important to me that my customers receive a copy of the Stampin’ Up! catalogues, whenever a new one is released (January, May, and September). Whether they pick up a catalogue at one of my in-person classes, or get sent one in the mail, I’m always thrilled to pass on this beautiful book of inspiration and excitement!

However, these days there is a lot more to shopping with Stampin’ Up! than the printed catalogues. In fact, if the catalogues are your only source of product information, you are only getting part of the picture! That’s why I wanted to walk you through the other ways to find more of the Stampin’ Up! products you love, without having to wait for the next catalogue release.

Online Exclusives

Starting in March 2023, Stampin’ Up! started offering Online Exclusives three times a year. These product releases alternate with the catalogues, so that we have a new collection of products to enjoy every second month:

There are three main differences between the products offered via Online Exclusives, and the products offered in a printed catalogue.

Difference #1: Products offered via Online Exclusives do not have an end date. They will not retire at the end of a given period, as the catalogue products do. For example, items in the annual catalogue (if they do not carry forward to a future publication), will no longer be available after April 30; but Online Exclusive items can continue to be available online.

Difference #2: Products offered via Online Exclusives do not get discounted for a last-chance sale. Because they have no specific retirement date, they will continue to be offered at full price until stock sells out.

Difference #3: Products offered via Online Exclusives are available year-round, not just when ‘in season’. For example, holiday-related items that were released ahead of the holiday season will continue to be available even after the holidays, until stock sells out.

Why is this good for you?

  • Because Stampin’ Up! can continue to bring exciting, on-trend products to us whenever these products are ready, without having to wait for the next catalogue release
  • Because you can shop a huge variety of products all-year round, with new items being added all the time
  • Because you can be confident in the pricing and availability of the items you’re looking at online

Here are some of the items that have been offered via Online Exclusives:

Clearance Rack

This might be one that you are already familiar with, as it’s been around for quite a while! Sometime after the retirement of a given product, if there is still sufficient stock on hand, Stampin’ Up! often adds these items to the Clearance Rack at a heavily discounted price. Naturally, because stock on the Clearance Rack is constantly changing, these items are not listed in a catalogue; instead, you can see them online via the Stampin’ Up! website.

Why is this good for you?

Hello, discounts of up to 60%!

Here are some of the items that have been listed on the Clearance Rack:

Paper Pumpkin

Like the Clearance Rack, Paper Pumpkin has been around for several years in the North American market. Paper Pumpkin is a subscription-based service where subscribers receive an all-inclusive crafting kit every month, delivered directly to their door. These kits include everything you need to make the projects, whether that be a set of cards, gift tags, treat packages, gift card holders, or other items. Stampin’ Up! gives us a little sneak peek at the beginning of each subscription period, but in general the subscribers don’t know what is included until they receive their kit and open it up. Subscriptions are available in 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month periods. (Bonus: prepaid subscriptions purchased during Sale-a-Bration are eligible for free rewards!) Naturally, because Paper Pumpkin is different every month, it isn’t shown in our catalogue; you must visit the website for details.

Sometimes, Stampin’ Up! offers refills for past Paper Pumpkin kits. These refills include only the consumables needed to create another set of the projects; the block, inkpad, and stamp set are not included, as these items were already received in the original kit and can be used again. Additionally, sometimes there are optional add-ons that co-ordinate with the Paper Pumpkin kits, such as a gift box to hold the cards, or a die that co-ordinates with the included stamp set. Both refills and add-ons are only available to Paper Pumpkin subscribers.

Why is this good for you?

This is a great way for you to ‘set it and forget it’ by having a crafting kit delivered to you every month without fail. You’ll always have something new and seasonal to work on, without having to remember to place an order (or decide what you’d like!)

Kits

Paper Pumpkin isn’t the only way you can enjoy Stampin’ Up! kits! Since summer of 2021, Stampin’ Up! has offered a versatile selection of all-inclusive papercrafting kits via our Kits Collection. Like Paper Pumpkin, every kit contains everything you need to complete the projects: from stamps and inkspots to embellishments, adhesive dots, pre-cut elements, cardbases and envelopes and of course step-by-step instructions. There is a huge variety of kits available, and two more kits are released every month! Whether you’re looking for birthday cards, home decor projects, treat packages, a Christmas countdown calendar, gift tags, memory-keeping, thank you cards, and so much more … you will find it in our Kits Collection! Again, because new kits are being added all the time, they are not shown in our catalogues; you must visit the website to see what’s currently available.

Why is this good for you?

Because you get to choose exactly which kit you want and when, and you can see everything that’s included before you order. Kits are an awesome way to have a fun and successful crafting experience, without purchasing a large collection of tools and supplies!

Some Final Questions

Do I have to shop online to order these products?
No, you can order them in any way that you currently shop: via my online store, at an in-person class, or by contacting me. The only difference is that you can’t see these products in a catalogue or flyer; you have to visit the website to see what is available.

How will I know if the product I want is available?
When viewing the online listing, any unavailable products will include the note “Currently Unavailable”. If an item does not have that note, it is available.

Can I choose catalogue products and online products in the same order?
Of course! With the exception of Paper Pumpkin, which is a subscription service, you can include catalogue items and online items in the same order.

I have another question not covered here.
Then contact me and I’ll help you out! That’s what I’m here for!

I hope this post has helped you understand why Stampin’ Up! catalogues – while they are truly wonderful, and are not going away any time soon – are only part of the picture. Enjoy exploring these other products, and be sure to let me know which ones are your favourites!

Happy Stampin!
